Online Registration Instructions:

Online registration available through active.com by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.

When you click on the link below, you will be taken to the 2009 Spin-A-Thon active.com registation site. Once you get there, follow the instructions on that site. You will be presented with the Register Now Button

Click this button to complete one of the following 4 types of registrations:

Participant Registration: This is for individuals who want to sign up to ride in the spin-a-thon. The regisration fee for this type of registration is $25 and all event riding hours are available to the registrant. Registrants may select from a list of available Teams to join (optional).
Student Registration: This is for individuals who want to sign up to ride in the spin-a-thon who are students at an accredited educational institution, and want to take advantage of the special student rate of $15. Only the afternoon hours are available to this type of registrant. Registrants may select from a list of available Teams to join (optional).
Team Captains (create and join your team): This is for Team Captains who wish to create and register a Team, (and join that team) for the Team competition. The registration fee for Teams is $50 + the individual registration fee for the Team Captain of $25. This is in addition to the individual registration fees paid by individuals who choose to join the Team -- registering by the first method above.
Student Team Captains (create and join your team): This is for Student Team Captains who wish to create and register a Student Team, (and join that team) for the Team competition. The registration fee for Student Teams is $25 + the individual Student registration fee for the Team Captain of $15. This is in addition to the individual registration fees paid by individuals who choose to join the Team -- registering by the second method above.

Note: There was an early bug in the active.com online registration that limited the T-shirt sizes available for selection when you registered. That bug has been fixed. If you registered earlier and did not get the T-shirt size you wanted, let me know (larry@spin-a-thon.net) - just tell me the size you want and I'll change it in your registration.

TEAMS

For the first time this year, we will have Team Competition. Teams may be formed of any group of participants, all of whom must be registered individually. Examples of teams that will be competing are gyms, businesses, student athletic teams, fraternities, sororities. There is no limit to team size. Teams will compete for prizes based on total hours ridden and total money raised for the charity. Every attempt will also be made to seat Team members together. Each Team must have a Team Captain who is required to activate the Team for online registrants, register the Team and pay the $50 Team registration fee (in addition to individual registration fees), and manage the Team Roster. Once a Team Captain has created a Team, that Team Captain can manage the team by using the tools on active.com designed for Team Captains at: www.active.com/teams

Note: If the Team you wish to be included in is not available on the list of teams (drop down menu at the top of the registration form), inform your Team Captain -- so that person can add you to the Team. If you don't know who your Team Captain is, send email to: larry@spin-a-thon.net
